| Wildebeest, which are also called gnus, live in big herds in Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Each February and March, wildebeests Mamas give birth to their babies. Everday during those months, thousands of Wildebeest babies are born. They live to be 20 years old. | ![]() |

Every May and June, the grasslands of the Serengetti dry out. Forcing the Wildebeests to migrate to greener grasslands. In 1999, My Mama, Papa and I saw the wildebeest migration in the Serengetti. Wherever we saw wildebeest, zebras were nearby. |
