Victoria Logue is a graduate of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. After graduation, Victoria worked as a writer for two daily newspapers in Georgia—the Warner Robins Daily Sun and The Rome News-Tribune. During that time, she garnered awards for her feature writing and personal columns from the Georgia Press Association and the Special Olympics. She and her husband, Frank, also spent two months in Kathmandu, Nepal, documenting daily life and customs.
They went on to write a number of other books related to hiking, the outdoors and travel including Victoria’s Hiking and Backpacking: Essential Skills to Advanced Techniques. The books they co-authored include The Best of the Appalachian Trail: Day Hikes, The Best of the Appalachian Trail: Overnight Hikes, Kids Outdoors, Touring the Backroads of North and South Georgia, Georgia Outdoors and The Guide to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Logues have also supplied writing and photography to a variety of regional, national and international magazines.
Victoria continues working as an author and writer. She is a Tertiary in the Third Order, Society of Saint Francis, a certified labyrinth facilitator and is involved in promoting spirituality through leading retreats and dreamwork. Victoria is an avid traveler who enjoys
exploring both here in the United States and abroad. The Logues most recent
trip with their daughter Griffin was a trip to Europe to explore Umbria,
home of Saint Francis and a week in Villecroze in Provence. |
